Gazta Azoka, the Cheese Fair of Idiazabal
The Gazta Azoka (Cheese Fair) of Idiazabal will be held on May 3 and 4
The main objective is to promote the cheese made by the Shepherds of the Basque Country, protecting and highlighting everything that lies behind these cheeses. The Idiazabal Cheese Fair is the first important fair of the new season. Our shepherds have worked hard in winter and soon it will be their turn to take the sheep up the hills to maintain our mountain landscape. The Cheese Fair is an opportunity to present the new cheeses of this season to the consumer and to talk with the shepherds.
