PROJECT


The QUETUR Operational Group is a project that was born from the European Cheese Route Association with the aim of developing innovation and tourism training tools for the cheese sector. This group is made up of a multidisciplinary team.

The objective of QUETUR is to define and test an innovative model of diversification of the cheese sector based on experiential tourism strategies, in order to improve short marketing channels and thus increase the added value of its products.


Objectives


Through the QUETUR Operative Group we have set up a work dynamic that allows us to evaluate the current situation with a view to implementing quality tourist experiences around cheese.

These are the main objectives of QUETUR.

  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of cheese companies to become tourist agents.
  • Define innovation models in the marketing of agri-food and agro-tourism products linked to cheese.
  • Evaluate the creation of a quality seal associated with the European Cheese Route.



Results


As a result of the work carried out, a results report will be prepared that will facilitate the implementation of improvements for cheese companies interested in establishing experiential tourism services.

This report will focus on the following main points.

  1. Preparation of a diagnosis of the current situation of cheese companies in relation to short marketing channels and the tourist product.
  2. Implementation manual for innovative tourist products that allow increasing the added value of cheese companies.
  3. Creation of the "European Cheese Route" tourist quality seal.
